The trend that started in the western state of Maharashtra has gradually spread to other parts of the country. Northern states like Uttar Pradesh and southern states like Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka are also showing interest in the niche tourism and are actively organising tours during the mango season. The Hessarghatta (Karnataka) based Indian Institute of Horticulture Research (IIHR) will also organise a mango and jackfruit diversity fair in Bengaluru. The fair that will be conducted at the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat in Bengaluru on June 1 and 2, is set to feature nearly 500 varieties of mango. Not just Karnataka but Uttar Pradesh too organised the Uttar Pradesh Mango Festival last year in its capital Lucknow to support small farmers, women in agriculture, and boost the region’s mangoes.

The main reason for it to become popular among the people is because tourists get to experience the mango farms, pluck fruits directly from trees, eat them fresh and enjoy the different cuisines made from mangoes. Some of the most famous varieties of mangoes are kesar from Gujarat, himsagar from West Bengal, alphonso from Maharashtra and badami, raspuri and mallika from Karnataka. A small hill with a breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea, this organic farm has a total area of approximately 30 acres and is home to thousands of mango trees. Located between Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg district in the state of Maharashtra, it is a perfect getaway for those who love mangoes and want to escape the hustle of the city.

The farm also has a Mango canning factory, where tourists can buy products that are made from mangoes. Not only this, they also teach you about the fine art of mango picking. One can also indulge in other village activities like as bullock cart rides, boating, birds and animal watching among others. Situated on the fringes of the Bilikal Forest on the south of Bannerghatta National Park, and an hour and a half drive from Bengaluru, this farm offers the perfect rural escape for the mango season. Since 2015,
the farm has been conducting tours during the mango harvesting season of April to June that includes a guided walking tour around the farm along with guided mango plucking sessions. You can pick the juiciest of mangoes from the trees, wash them and can buy the mangoes that you have plucked at the farm. It grows badami mangoes that are considered to be the tastiest mango variety. Malda, also known as the mango city of West Bengal, is a tiny hamlet in the eastern state. A well developed centre located at the meeting of two rivers Mahananda and Kalindi, this district town is known for the Malda Mangoes which are exported across the world.

The Golden State gets its name for a reason. California's diverse cultural and geographical offerings, vibrant cities and critically acclaimed culinary scenes are truly the gold standard for travellers. Whether you're hiking the trails of one of the state's many scenic parks, sampling some bubbly in the northern valleys, kicking back on sunny, southern shorelines or walking where stars once stood, California is truly a sight to behold. San Francisco brims with life everywhere you go. Whether it's zipping around on a cable car, exploring one of the city's many culturally eclectic neighbourhoods,
admiring towering redwoods near the Golden Gate Bridge or diving fork first into its world-renowned foodie scene, the city's energy is downright electric, no matter what time of year you visit. San Diego is Southern California at its finest. Think warm weather year-round, endless stretches of surf-friendly shorelines and some of the best Mexican food in the USA. Recent visitors also thoroughly enjoyed attractions such as Balboa Park, the USS Midway Museum, housed in an aircraft carrier, and the San Diego Zoo, widely considered to be one of the best zoos in the country.

Lake Tahoe is one of those destinations where you can enjoy the outdoors no matter what season you visit. During the winter, Tahoe becomes a popular ski spot, and when summer hits, locals rent boats in droves as a way to unwind on the lake. Even if your motivation is to simply relax, don't leave without a light stroll around the beautiful Emerald Bay State Park or D.L. Bliss State Park.  Big Sur's dramatic position at the edge of the ocean is so spellbindingly beautiful, it has the habit of putting travellers into a trance. This 90-mile stretch of rugged coastline offers plenty of hiking trails that weave in and out of surrounding mountains and valleys, as well as pathways leading to wild, seemingly untouched beaches.
Don't know where to start? Turn to Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park, a go-to for many first-time travellers.  Situated 15 miles west of downtown LA, Santa Monica Beach easily stands alone as its own destination. This beachfront neighborhood is equipped with ample hotels, dining and shopping options in addition to its star attraction: the Pacific Park Pier and beach. After a day of fun in the sand or at the popular Third Street Promenade, visit Palisades Park for an unforgettable southern Californian sunset.

Maldives is a dazzling archipelago of more than a thousand islands that are so beautiful; it feels as if a wizard sprinkled magic white dust on a perfect painting and made it real. Located in the Indian Ocean and not very far from the Indian west coast, Maldives is known for its blinding white sandy beaches (remnants of the wizard’s magic dust, perhaps), glimmering blue water that submerges pretty corals, and cloudless skies. A huge part of Maldives tourism involves newlyweds on their honeymoon. And the place is tailor-made for a perfect romantic getaway. But lately, the paradise nation has also seen a rise in tourists who make a trip to Maldives for a family vacation.
There are almost 200 islands in Maldives and hence you have so much to choose from. The capital of Maldives can be a great first stop on your Maldives tour, not because it is the best place in the country, but simply because the international airport is located in the capital and it is convenient to explore the city of Male before you head out to other islands. Indulge in delicious food from the wide variety of restaurants and bars or see local tourist attractions. COMO Cocoa Island is hands-down one of the prettiest and best places to visit in Maldives. If you’re on a honeymoon, the island offers amazing resorts and plush water villas for a perfect romantic stay.
Hand in hand with your loved one, walk on the soft sand on the beach and take in the perfect view. Move aside Dubai, Maldives is one of the most beautiful places where you can go with your loved ones and also with that you can enjoy the most beautiful views on this planet. The island can be an excellent luxury retreat for tourists. One of the most popular islands in Maldives, Baros Island is yet another place in Maldives that is trying to one-up the other islands in pure beauty, and succeeding marginally.
Lined with beaches filled with fine sand and gentle waves of water ferrying small shells and stones, Baros Island is known for its resorts and water villas. After all the watersports and beach hopping, it’s time to gorge on some delicious food! The Seagull Cafe in Male should be the go-to place for food and is one of the best places to visit in Maldives. With its excellent decor and great menu, Seagull Cafe can be the perfect place for a nice evening meal.
